A: Hi Randall! Many shooters consider the JSP a jack of all trades. With its exposed lead core, it's capable of expanding within soft tissue to register a more debilitating wound channel. However, thanks to its economical design the JSP is not necessarily cost-prohibitive for target practice and plinking either. I'd definitely recommend this ammo for hunting and target practice. If you'd like something suited only for target practice, this ammo by Magtech should serve you well: luckygunner.com/magtech-44-mag-ammo-for-sale-44mag240fmj44cmagtech-50. If you'd like a specialized self-defense load, this round's XTP bullet will expand more effectively than a JSP ever could: luckygunner.com/hornady-44-mag-ammo-for-sale-44mag200jhpxtphonady-20. Hope that helps, and thanks for reaching out!
