Hurricane. Earthquake. Blizzard. Cold snap. War. A state of affairs so bleak that “catastrophe” doesn’t begin to describe it. We hope you never have to live through any of these. But if you do, then we hope you’ll at least stay fed.

Do you know who also has to stay fed? Soldiers. Do you know how they stay fed when no mess halls are nearby? “Meals, Ready to Eat,” or MREs, which are highly nutritious and shelf-stable for 3 to 7 years (depending on storage conditions).

Here’s your chance to squirrel away one dozen MREs. Each sealed pouch is backed by a water-activated flameless heater. The case itself bears a “Fresh-Check” indicator, which very clearly states when the MREs have outlived their usefulness (although an expired MRE would certainly be preferable over zilchola).

We cannot promise the exact date of manufacture vis-à-vis the MREs you would receive in this case, but we promise they were cooked up recently. Entrées can include any of the following:
• Beef goulash
• Beef ravioli in meat sauce
• Cheese tortellini in tomato sauce
• Chicken burrito bowl
• Italian sausage
• Jalapeno pepper jack beef patty
• Lemon pepper tuna
• Mexican style chicken stew
• Mexican style rice and bean bowl
• Pepperoni pizza slice
• Pork sausage patty
• Southwest beef and black beans

Please note: Items in this case may vary slightly from the above list. Military contractors have some leeway as to what they can package, and they do use it.
