This newly manufactured 7.62x39 hollow point ammunition is ideal for hunting, target practice, range training, or plinking. It is both economical and reliable and is produced by one of the most established ammunition plants in the world.

Tula ammunition derives its name from its birthplace, the Tula Cartridge Works in Tula, Russia.

The Tula Cartridge Works plant was founded in 1880 and is currently one of the largest ammunition manufacturing plants in the world. The Tula name has gained a following worldwide for its rugged, reliable, and economical product. This cartridge complies with CIP requirements and the casing features a polymer-coated steel casing with a non-corrosive Berdan Primer. The projectile features a bimetal jacket (contains steel and copper) and a lead core resulting in excellent ballistics characteristics.

This ammunition is rugged like the country where it was manufactured and keeps its qualities under temperatures ranging from -58 degrees Fahrenheit to 122 degrees Fahrenheit ensuring that it will perform when needed most.

One word. GREAT. Just keep pulling the trigger and it is downrange without problems and waiting for the next trigger pull. I am using it through my modified Russian SKS and plan to use it in my CAI AK 47.

I shoot weekly - go through 150-180 rounds of 7.62 at a time. Good value. Be aware - I see 3-4 failure to fire per 150-180 rounds, consistently. Good for plinking.

I was looking for a boat load of bullets to have at my next "camping shoot out". Went thru 400 rounds in a wasr 10 and an sks. Never miss fired or jammed. Round for round, pound for pound, a complete success. Poor ar's couldn't keep up or out shoot me! Will buy again and again!

Q: Is this a good round for hunting deer or hogs ?

A: Thanks for reaching out Maikol! Although it is technically a hollow point, this round's bullet delivers more comparable terminal ballistics to an FMJ. That's only to say it doesn't expand while penetrating soft tissue. I wouldn't recommend this ammo for deer for that reason. A lot of hog hunters will use ammo like this, but if it was me I'd be aiming for the neck bones instead of the vital area. I'm sorry to say that we haven't got any 7.62x39 ammo specifically designed for hunting in stock at this very moment, but we do update our inventory constantly. I hope you'll check back in again soon!

Q: Is this a bimetal bullet like to the FMJ 122gr Tula?

A: Yes sir, that is correct! You're always safe to assume that Tula bullets are magnetic. They do load nonmagnetic ammo on occasion, but their solid black box ammo is universally bimetal jacketed.
