This 8-round factory magazine fits Smith & Wesson's popular M&P Shield 9mm Luger pistol. Compared to the 7-round flush fit magazine, it features a longer body with a grip extension, providing a better grip and one extra round of capacity at the cost of increased bulk and weight. These characteristics make the 8-round magazines particularly suitable for range use and go a long way to helping the Shield perform well as a range/target gun in addition to a carry weapon. These magazines are made of stainless steel with a polymer buttplate.
Note that this magazine is not interchangeable with those of most M&P pistols due to its short length and single stack concealment design.
