A: Thanks for reaching out Jeff! Gosh, the only explanation that comes to mind is that they accidentally sent you 45 ACP which is 0.205" longer than 45 GAP, but I'm certain you would have noticed that kind of mix-up. Buffalo Bore loads to SAAMI specs, so their ammo should by all means chamber in a Glock. I suppose a grave manurafturing defect or some extreme damage during shipment could have caused the bullets to creep forward in their cases, although that seems unlikely. It's all just conjecture anyway since I can't observe the FTF. I'd definitely reach out to Buffalo Bore if I was you – they ought to have greater insight than I can offer. Wish I could be of better help!

A: While there are quite a few varieties of 45 ammo on the market, the 45GAP round will not work in the Judge revolver. Along with the markings on the gun, the manual will tell you the rounds needed. The common round used for the Judge is the 45LC also known as the Colt 45.
Here is a quick rundown of the common 45 ammunition rounds.
45ACP -- Used in semi auto pistols including the popular 1911 and other modern pistols from Glock, Sig, Springfield etc.
45GAP -- Used in semi auto pistols made by Glock. This is a shorter round designed to fit a few models designed by Glock. May not be interchanged with the ACP nor ACP used in GAP.
45 Colt/ 45 Long Colt -- Used in revolvers or lever carbines. This round features a rim on the cartridge which is required for revolvers. This design will prevent the interchangeability of the ACP round.

A: Unfortunately the 45GAP and 45ACP are not interchangeable. While it is physically possible to fit the GAP in an ACP chamber, the differences in length and chamber pressure will likely cause a malfunction and pressures not designed for the chamber and operation of the pistol. The Glock 30 will accept the 45ACP round.
