A: Thanks for reaching out Paul! "32 Long" is just a different name for 32 S&W Long; they are one and the same cartridge. If your revolver is chambered for 32 H&R Magnum, then it is designed to safely fire 32 S&W Long and 32 S&W (aka 32 S&W Short) as well.

A: Hello Lowel! I believe you're asking about the Arminius HW-5 revolver, which went into production in 1965. To my knowledge it has only ever been available chambered for 22 LR, 22 WMR, and 32 S&W Long. (Your revolver should have "Kal. 32 S.u.W. Long" stamped on its barrel – the "u." being German for "and.") That means your revolver is capable of firing 32 S&W Long as well as 32 S&W Short; a 38 Special bullet could never fit through an HW-5's barrel, and the bigger round wouldn't even chamber in an HW-5's cylinder. I don't see why you wouldn't be safe ordering 32 S&W Long ammunition for your revolver!

A: Hi Renee! I saw your other question. Your Colt New Police is chambered for 32 S&W Long. This means you can also safely fire 32 S&W (aka 32 S&W Short) in that revolver as well! So the question becomes which you prefer: greater power accompanied by greater recoil, or less power accompanied by less recoil. As I suspect you would like to use your revolver for self-defense, I would wholeheartedly recommend you go with the higher powered 32 S&W Long ammo – its recoil is still manageable despite being more powerful. And while this round's LRN bullet isn't a hollow point that will expand within soft tissue, it's terminal performance was still adequate for police business back in Teddy Roosevelt's day!

A: These 32 S&W rounds from Prvi Partizan will meet the same specifications of the 32 S&W rounds from Sellier & Bellot. Both rounds have been designed to chamber in a revolver.
