SHOT show starts next week, where all the firearms industry gathers to show off new and upcoming products. The Lucky Gunner team will be there to check out what’s new, and to meet with our industry partners and friends. My esteemed colleague Anthony and I will be reporting back regularly with anything in particular that we think you might find interesting, especially during demo day at the range.
There are a few things in particular that I’ll be seeking out to get a first-hand look at. The new Remington R-51 compact 9mm pistol that was announced last week looks promising. I’m sure there will be crowds around the Remington booth but if I get my mitts on one, I’ll pass along my first impressions.
Perhaps not quite as popular, but of equal interest to me personally are the newest versions of the MVP Patrol rifle from Mossberg. It’s a bolt action rifle that takes AR-15 magazines. They’ve had a .223/5.56 version out for a while, but they’ve got a new .308 version that can take DPMS/PMag magazines or M14/M1A magazines. Maybe competition for the Ruger Gunsite Scout rifle?
I also plan to stop by Crimson Trace. They are constantly coming out with innovative new products and I’m a big fan of their laser grips for handguns.
What do you want to see from SHOT show? Leave a comment if there’s anything new you’d like us to give a report on, or if you’ve got any questions we can pass along to any of the industry reps that will be there.
