A: Thanks for reaching out Todd! I can't speak to primer hardness. Ammo manufacturers typically don't manufacture their own primers, so there's no guarantee that the ammo you'd receive would have the same primers as the ones I tested. I've even seen different primers loaded in the same box of ammunition! You can expect shallower penetration from the Magtech – all of these rounds' bullets have virtually identical sectional densities, although the Magtech round's lower muzzle velocity simply gives its wadcutter less momentum with which to penetrate soft tissue. I expect you would not be able to distinguish the rounds' apart based on their accuracy, especially considering the short ranges you would realistically fire them over. I can estimate the rounds' recoil energy for you. I'm going to assume your revolver weighs 23 ounces and all of these rounds are loaded with 2.5 grains of powder. Based on that, Magtech = 1.39 ft lbs recoil energy, Sellier & Bellot = 1.63 ft lbs, Fiocchi = 1.61 ft lbs. The Magtech is therefore the lowest-recoil option, although the difference is so slight that you may not even notice it. I expect you would be well served by any of these options, but if you're buying ammo for self-defense then you may want to avoid the weaker Magtech. Every little extra bit of kinetic energy matters when you're talking about a relatively weak round like the 32 S&W Long. Please let me know if you'd like to know anything else!

A: Thanks for reaching out Terrence! Your Iver Johnson isn't chambered for 32 S&W Long. It's chambered for 32 S&W (aka 32 S&W Short). (The longer cartridge has an overall length of 1.280"; the shorter one, 0.920".) I regret that we haven't got the ammo you need in stock at the moment, but our inventory does update constantly. I hope you'll check back in again soon!
