The process of manufacturing plated bullets is much cheaper than producing jacketed bullets, and these plated bullets meet the same quality and accuracy standards as jacketed bullets. This is great for people who reload large quantities of ammo for range training. Berry's uses a unique manufacturing process to ensure that high-quality standards are met. They begin with a bare lead core, which is then electrically charged to attract copper particles. This process results in a bullet with an even dispersion of copper around the lead core. These bullets also have a hollow base, which has the effect of elongating the bullet, without increasing the weight. The increased bullet length increases contact with the barrel and rifling and makes the bullet more stable in flight.
Note: Plated bullets are not recommended for velocities over 1,250 feet-per-second
