When you have a Foundation Rifle Case by Blackhawk, you essentially have any rifle case you could dream up. That’s because you can attach pretty much any bells and whistles you would like to this customizable, versatile, and highly durable rifle storage and transport system!

The Foundation is constructed out of thickly padded 500 denier Kodra nylon. That fabric is popular for tactical accessories, camping gear and luggage because it resists abrasion and cutting like an absolute champ. Lugging your rifle around is a lot more convenient when you’ve got the Foundation’s carrying strap resting against your shoulder, and its YKK zippers and metal-D rings won’t give out after a lifetime of tugging.

Open up your Foundation and you’ll see four hook-and-loop straps that you can mount in any position to hold your rifle. You’ll also see rows upon rows of loop-lined MOLLE webbing that can hold any number of pouches. Close up the Foundation and you’ll find even more attachment points in the form of its exterior’s laser-cut grid and loop panel!

This case is 30” long, which is the sweet spot for a short short-barreled rifle.

Q: Can this case carry two rifles?

A: Thanks for reaching out Adam! I really wouldn't like to guarantee that this case could carry two short-barreled rifles just in case it doesn't work out for you. That said, I can easily imagine how you could make that work.

Q: Will this case work for a break-down O/U shotgun with a 28" barrel?

A: Thanks for reaching out RW! I'm pretty confident this 30" case would accommodate a 28" barrel just fine, and I also believe its four hook-and-loop straps would keep the gun's two pieces securely in place. To be certain, this is a rifle case, so I can't in total confidence recommend it for a break-down shotgun – I just personally believe it would work pretty well.

Q: Would this bag be large enough to hold a Winchester 94 lever-action rifle?

A: Thanks for reaching out Stefan! I believe your rifle has an overall length of 42-1/2", unless it's the carbine model. I wouldn't recommend a 30" case for so long a rifle. This case is better suited for short-barreled rifles.
