Wolf ammo is manufactured by Wolf Ammunition. Wolf Ammunition is a Russian based company with its headquarters located in the United States in Placentia, CA. Currently, Russia is the largest producer of 7.62 x 39mm ammo! Unlike other foreign low priced ammo, Wolf ammo is non-corrosive. Most Wolf ammo comes in polymer-coated steel cases and is produced in the most popular rifle and pistol calibers (see Calibers Offered By Wolf Ammo below).
Wolf Ammunition is well known for offering quality product at competitively low prices. When using Wolf Ammo, you may have to clean between the case and the chamber of your firearm more often than usual. The reason for this extra cleaning has to do with the steel-cased Wolf casings not expanding to form a tight seal against the chamber at the time of firing.
Consequently, when Wolf cartridges are fired some of the combustion by-products accumulate between the case and the chamber. It is suggested that you clean your gun after firing Wolf ammo due to this excess of carbon. This does not have any affect on the safety of Wolf Ammo as the ammunition is in accordance with all SAAMI standards. Most gunners don't mind the extra cleaning as they are able to buy more good Wolf ammo at a bargain price!
Most of Wolf ammo is manufactured in factories located in the former USSR.

The chronograph this stuff and it barely makes 1050 ft./s. A lot of it runs at 1000 feet a second. This stuff is underpowered !!! I run it suppressed and it’s Quiet. Don’t bet your life on this stuff unless there’s nothing else. I would not stockpile this stuff for emergencies. Underpowered.!!!

This is a great value for “match” ammo, but the results are not great. Perfect for plinking or practice. Doesn’t group well at 50yds. Done better at 100yds. This is very dirty shooting ammo and it’s very dry. Maybe it’s old stock? May try coating in bees wax and see if it changes anything. Bought 2 bricks and unfortunately was sent same lot #’s. It’s fine if you want to burn a lot of ammo plinking with mediocre results. I’ll likely buy more just to have more on hand. Especially at this price. It’s cheaper to shoot than the Lapua and Eley I have. Used my CZ457 Varmint MTR and a buddies CZ457 Pro Varmint and it shot relatively the same through both rifles. Your experience may vary. I have shot probably 20 cases this stuff. It always feeds and it always fires. Accuracy is fair and it’s a good training round I suppose. I finally got around to checking it out on my chronograph. I only get between 1000.-1050 ft./s when this advertisement says it’s supposed to do 1200 ft./s. Way underpowered. Tried it with a suppressor, surprisingly quiet. Not as quiet as 147 subsonic, but it should’ve been a lot louder. Worst of all worlds.

The stuff feeds and fires just fine but it claims 1200 feet a second. I put it through a chronograph and it only does 1050 ft./s at best! It doesn’t even break supersonic. I use it with a suppressor and it is very quiet.

6.5 Grendel by Wolf

I recently built a 6.5 Grendel platform, mainly for coyote control and range shooting. I bought a very nice optic, although not a top tier build, this rifle does hold its own. A co-worker had issues with his Grendel shooting varying groupings depending on ammo. I have shot match, varmint, and range ammo with my Grendel. The Wolf ammo feeds well and I have had no issues or failures with it. It produces groups slightly larger than 1.5 MOA at 100 yards, but that is acceptable for my use. I’m no dead eye shot either, I’m middle of the pack at best.
The shoots fairly clean, seems to be as reliable as most other brands, and affordable.

When the word came out about an ammo shortage going into next year I figured I'd stockpile a good amount of ammo to hold me over, but seems I was late to the party, however, Lucky Gunner came through, and still had good ammo for a decent price. Definitely one of my go to sites for ammo in the future.

I bought 1000 rounds of this ammo. everytime I go to the range it misfires. I have atleast 40 rounds so far I've tried firing multiple times and it doesn't work. steel ammo from Russia is not the way to go, its the dirtiest ammo I've ever shot as well. you don't even save that much money imo always get brass because they don't tell you when you buy these rounds that you'll get misfire and it's strictly range ammo as you'll die if you rely on this ammo for self defense or any emergency. you'll hear click click click all day.

A groups of friends and I shot about 200-400 rounds of this in one day. As far as I'm aware, none of us encounter a single dud.
We were shooting at about 30-50 feet, and the ammo seemed very consistent and accurate.

This is ok if you are just plinking. 1 out of 10 primers don't go off. In my book that pushes the cost per round up as you are not getting as many rounds as you are paying for.
