This 9mm +P cartridge packs tremendous power into a lightweight package! Thanks to its all-copper bullet and nickel alloy case, it weighs less than half as much as a traditional self-defense round. That’s going to make a difference if you carry a handgun all day.

This round’s lightweight bullet and potent propellant charge add up to one of the fastest muzzle velocities we’ve ever seen out of a 9mm +P: 2,040 fps, which is sufficient to give its bullet a muzzle energy in excess of 450 ft lbs. That’s more than half the minimum commonly recommended for personal protection.

The Ultra-Light round’s monolithic bullet penetrates barriers well, but once its nose cavity fills with soft tissue its sides burst outward. This causes copper fragments to track multiple separate wound channels while dealing massive hydrostatic shock to the target. Expect to deliver a wound cavity about 12” deep and 3-1/2” wide, which can be instantly debilitating.

Although powerful, this round still generates about one-third less recoil than a traditional load and significantly reduces the likelihood of dangerous overpenetration. Its unique nickel alloy case is made by Shell Shock Technologies and boasts twice the durability of brass!
