A: Thanks for reaching out Wilbur! There's no difference between the 9mm and 9mm +P ammo you described. Well, there is one difference: The LE branded Gold Dot ammo comes in boxes of 50 instead of 20.

A: Yes indeed, all of Taurus's 9mm pistols are also rated for 9mm +P. Just take note that this ammo will wear out a semi-auto's moving parts a little faster, so it's advised for self-defense and not target practice.

A: Absolutely! The VP9 operator's manual says your handgun can handle all SAAMI spec ammo, which this ammo most certainly is. Just be advised that overpressure ammo will wear out your pistol's moving parts faster, so it's best only implemented for self-defense and not training.

A: Hello, Ed! The Glock 19 can handle the heavier chamber pressure of a 9mm +P cartridge. Running overpressure ammo through your Glock all day would wear it out more quickly, but for a rare self-defense situation this ammo will perform well. The Gold Dot bullet has a bonded jacket that helps it defeat barriers and penetrate deeply, and a hollow point that functions reliably. You would find a lot of cops with this same exact ammo in their G19s.

A: Hi John. a +P cartridge has a bit higher velocity and energy than does the standard rated cartridge. While some customers prefer a little extra "oomph" keep in mind that not all pistols are rated to handle the +P rounds. Always check your manufacturer's information to see if your will. Give me a shout if you have any questions, we can help. Have a great day John. Ross
