This round’s bullet is very light at 77 grains because it contains no lead. The cartridge is still loaded to a standard pressure for the 9mm, but it’s going to achieve a seriously fast muzzle velocity of 1,600 fps when fired from a 4.5” barrel (or around 1,435 fps in the case of a Glock 26’s 3.43” barrel). That equals an extremely flat trajectory, not to mention higher than average energy delivery at close range.
The SCHP has many blessings. It can’t emit lead vapor during ignition or deposit lead residue on the bore. It is extremely resilient, so it retains all the weight and momentum it needs to penetrate deeply into the vital organs. It also expands to a wide diameter very quickly, which will maximize trauma for the threat while simultaneously reducing the risk of potentially disastrous overpenetration. You can even use this 9mm ammo for varmint hunting wherever lead bullets are banned!
Its copper bullets make this ammo completely magnetic. Its new brass cases and non-corrosive Boxer primers make it perfectly reloadable. And DoubleTap’s high-quality loading practices and inspection protocol both make this ammo highly dependable when your pistol becomes your only means of getting home safely.
