This 9mm cartridge by Speer features the 147 grain Gold Dot G2 projectile. The newer Gold Dot has still got its signature bonded jacket, which has been formed one molecule at a time via Speer’s proprietary Uni-Cor process to grant it both exceptional accuracy as well as the ability to retain virtually all of its weight while penetrating barriers. (This bullet excels at the FBI test protocol.) The G2 further features a pressure formed core with integral internal fissures. Upon impact the piece of elastomer that sits in the bullet’s shallow nose cavity smooshes down into those fissures to produce highly uniform expansion with petal extrusion.
This cartridge features a reliable CCI primer to ignite its uniform propellant charge. Nicely, this round also offers a factory fresh nickel plated brass casing.
