These 9x19mm Gold Dot jacketed hollow-point (JHP) rounds from Speer are part of a well-known FBI contract rebuff which has led to a repackaging at lower costs and a label which reads "NOT FOR LE DUTY USE." While shooters all over report fine accuracy and reliability with this load, the manufacturer labels these boxes as "PRACTICE AMMUNITION ONLY" in order to segregate them from the main line of Speer Gold Dot proper. These cartridges are assembled using high grade components such as nickel-plated brass casings for smooth feeding, clean-igniting Boxer primers which leave little fouling behind, premium powder with flash suppressant, and the new Gold Dot G2 projectile.*

Gold Dot G2 bullets are next-generation improvement on a round which has performed superbly in the streets for years. While the projectile retains its molecular-bonded jacket and shallow hollow cavity, it has gained an improved skiving design for more devastating expansion, a base cannelure which prevents setback and aides in weight retention, and an elastomer filling to its nose. This polymer filling is intended to prevent clogging which could impede expansion and does not extend past the cavity's mouth so as not to interfere with dependable function.

The 147 grain projectiles match the weight commonly used in self-defense and law enforcement loads which makes this ammo great for high fidelity practice sessions. With a standard pressure charge, these rounds can be expected to provide a smooth recoiling impulse and a trajectory with a familiar point-of-impact.

*To reiterate, this 350 round pack of 9mm Luger rounds is labeled "954226" and is not to be confused with the G2 label of "54226" even though they share the same projectile design.
