This 9mm cartridge from Federal’s Syntech PCC line of ammunition is created specifically to deliver the performance that pistol caliber carbine competition demands. Its 1,030 fps muzzle velocity and accuracy are suited to best complement a longer barrel, and its bullet’s flat nose profile is designed to promote smooth feeding in a carbine platform.

As a Syntech, this round’s 130 grain bullet sports Federal’s state of the art Total Synthetic Jacket (TSJ). The envelope of red polymer that encapsulates the bullet wholly does away with metal on metal contact within the bore to virtually do away with fouling, and further protects the lead in its base from hot propellant gasses. This is a great round to select for shooting steel targets as well, as the TSJ does much to prevent splash-back.

This cartridge features Federal’s Catalyst primer. It burns extra hot to instigate reliable ignition, and it’s lead-free. That along with this round’s enclosed base bullet makes it far healthier to fire at indoor ranges.
