This isn’t your usual 9mm self-defense load. Its 124 grain bullet is a soft point instead of the more conventional jacketed hollow point. What’s the advantage? Primarily this: SP bullets are cheaper to manufacture than JHP ones. That makes this ammo a more economical way to train with the same rounds you’d entrust your life to. Very clever!
The SP isn’t at all unprepared to neutralize a threat, either. If fired from a 6” barrel, the SP will hit a 25-yard target with 344 ft lbs of kinetic energy: much more than the minimum needed to take care of business. And between its copper alloy jacket and solid lead core (which is exposed at the tip), the SP is doubly equipped for effectively deep penetration and significant terminal expansion.
This is brand new ammo. It’s made in the Czech Republic, totally noncorrosive, and loaded with fresh-as-freshly-baked-apple-pie reloadable brass cases.
