This cartridge is loaded with the 124 grain V-Crown jacketed hollow point. Several of Sig’s expert touches make the V-Crown worthy of carrying its own brand name. There is its stacked hollow point, which has a symmetrical array of fissures that each fill with pressurized fluid to force uniform outward expansion. There are its V-shaped jacket skives, which split apart evenly to ensure even more reliable star-shaped mushrooming. There is also its toothed cannelure, which mechanically locks the lead core and jacket together to promote greater weight retention and the effectively deep penetration that goes alongside it.

This ammo’s virgin brass cases conceal another advantageous feature: flash suppressed propellant. A dimmer muzzle flash will help keep your eyes adjusted to the darkness. Defensive fire during the nighttime is not unheard of.
