Based in Sweden, Norma opened their doors for business all the way back when Teddy Roosevelt was still just getting used to living in the White House. The company spent the first third of their existence extremely busy at producing military ammunition, and after war stopped ravaging Europe they moved more into hunting cartridges as well. Now their 200 employees roll out about 30 million cartridges every year, and it’s considered good quality stuff.

Here is Norma’s take on America’s favorite pistol cartridge: the 9mm. There is nothing unusual about this round, which is just the way we like it. It has a balanced 124 grain bullet, with a full metal jacket that helps a semi-auto to feed and a sprightly 1,200 fps muzzle velocity. According to Norma’s own ballistic data, this round’s bullet should drop by only 5.19 inches at 100 yards. That’s the kind of trajectory you can make good use of while mastering your favorite handgun’s performance – and this round is just as good a choice for a carbine!

Some European manufacturers utilize economical steel cases and Berdan primers, but Norma’s ammo looks more like what you’d get from an American manufacturer with its new production brass cases and non-corrosive Boxer primers. This round’s propellant will burn especially clean before your firearm pops out a valuable reloading component!
