Federal Premium celebrated their 100th anniversary in 2022 – and they’re not slowing down anytime soon. Their American Eagle line of ammunition is one of the most popular on the market for target shooting applications, and their 9mm ammo is always a smart buy no matter what kind of recreational handgun pastimes you’ve got lined up.

This cartridge is loaded with the ever-popular 124 grain full metal jacket. That’s a lead core with a rigid copper-alloy shell to ensure reliable feeding in a semi-automatic. The FMJ does not contain steel, so it’s ready to roll at any range which says no to magnetic bullets. The FMJ’s 1,150 fps muzzle velocity was recorded with a 4” test barrel, so you may get a subsonic performance out of a subcompact.

These are Minnesota-made cartridges, decked out with solid brass reloadable cases, noncorrosive Boxer primers and propellant that does a good job of minimizing carbon fouling. A dandy choice for any 9mm carbine, too!
