This 9mm cartridge’s 115 grain lead-free projectile has a highly unusual look to it. It doesn’t have a nose cavity, and accordingly can’t get too jammed up with debris to function properly. The Xtreme Penetrator’s four lateral grooves concentrate any soft tissues they press into, and then shoot them out in lateral directions and at even faster velocities than the bullet is traveling. The result is a very large permanent wound cavity.
The Xtreme Penetrator certainly lives up to its name. It’s made of one piece of copper, which helps it avoid losing momentum as a result of fragmentation after impact. Alongside its non-expanding design, that allows the Xtreme Penetrator to achieve over double the penetration depth of a conventional JHP.
This standard pressure ammo wears reloadable nickel-plated brass cases. Semi-autos have an easy time feeding and extracting such slick and lubricious shells, and humidity has great difficulty corroding a metal as nonreactive as nickel. Loaded with flash-suppressed propellant that makes firing at night less blinding. Made in America by Underwood!
