This 9mm cartridge features Sig’s 115 grain V-Crown bullet. The highly engineered JHP has a stacked hollow point nose cavity, with multiple scores in the lead core which promote highly uniform terminal expansion. The jacket’s precision skives control even more reliable expansion in soft tissue. The V-Crown’s shank wears a toothed cannelure which prevents setback in the magazine. The cannelure additionally averts core/jacket separation to ensure the bullet retains the momentum it needs to reach to an effective depth for neutralizing a threat.
Elite Performance ammo is loaded with nickel plated brass cases. These boast superior lubricity, meaning they create less of the friction that can cause a semi-automatic to jam during feeding or extraction. Nickel also resists corrosion better than bare brass, and it makes the round easier to spot in the chamber.
This round’s coup de grâce is its low flash propellant. It prevents a bright flash from blinding you in the dark, so you can continue firing accurate follow-up shots at a target which means to do you immediate bodily harm.
Sig Sauer is a German company, but this 9mm self-defense ammo is loaded at their production plant in Kentucky.
