A: Hi Doug! Here is the manual for your pistol: http://pdf.textfiles.com/manuals/FIREARMS/s&w_59.pdf. You will notice it makes no mention of 9mm +P ammunition. Now, I am not certain whether a Model 59 can handle the extra pressure of 9mm +P, but I'd strongly advise against you finding out for yourself. Older handguns were often not made with overpressure in mind.
Fortunately we have got very good 9mm self-defense ammo in stock that will certainly function correctly in your handgun: luckygunner.com/9mm-124-grain-jhp-speer-gold-dot-50-rounds. This is Speer's Gold Dot ammunition, designed for law enforcement and without question highly effective at its purpose. I recommend this ammo.
We're doing all we can to offer a good selection of ammo in our current market. I regret that we haven't got any 9mm FMJ ammo for training in stock at the moment, but we will update our site the moment we do. I hope you check in again with us shortly to see what more we can do for you!
