What does that mean? First and foremost, a nonmagnetic projectile. This round’s full metal jacket bullet is a lead core with a brass (i.e. 70% copper, 30% zinc) jacket – all nonferrous metals. Secondly, Turan doesn’t use steel to make their cases. These rounds’ shells are shiny new brass, complete with noncorrosive 4.4 Boxer primers and clean-burning double base propellant.
This round’s light 115 grain bullet and relatively low 1,100 fps muzzle velocity* promise agreeably light recoil. By Turan’s measure, accuracy is max 5.9” at 52.5 yards – not to shabby!
* Out of a 4” barrel. Please note that this manufacturer has changed this ammo’s advertised muzzle velocity in the past. They may change it again without the Lucky Gunner team’s knowledge.
