This is the target shooter’s standard 115 grain FMJ load. That lightweight a bullet propels to supersonic muzzle velocity out of a handgun’s barrel, so it’s going to make a sharp crack before it flies off in a straight trajectory. This bullet’s round nose profile will support reliable feeding from a semi-auto’s magazine.

Sterling’s production facility in Ankara turns out 140 million rounds of 9mm annually, in addition to a variety of rifle and shotgun rounds. They use newly minted brass cases to load these rounds, as well as clean-burning propellant and non-corrosive primers.

Q: I just purchase a Smith and Wesson MP 9mm. Would this ammo work well for that gun?

A: Thanks for reaching out Alex! This is the correct type of ammo for that handgun, absolutely. It's not the highest-quality ammo available, so you may experience more failures to feed and extract than if you went with, say, the Aguila or Federal ammo we currently have in stock. If you're newer to firearms then I believe you'll have much better first-time experience firing your pistol if you go with the Federal American Eagle Indoor Range Training ammo specifically.
