A: Thank you for reaching out Alethia! This is not blank ammo. We'd definitely point it out if it was!
This is FMJ ammo – that stands for "full metal jacket," and it's the most popular type of bullet for target shooting. Remington is one of the biggest American ammo manufacturers, and while this isn't premium ammo by any standard is it pretty much perfect for going to the range, working on your aim, or just having fun shooting empty soda bottles in your backyard.
Be sure, however, that FMJ ammo is not optimal for self-defense. If you intend to use your firearm as a tool for personal protection, then I recommend keeping a magazine loaded with JHP (jacketed hollow point) ammunition. The JHP bullet is designed to expand inside soft tissue, which creates a bigger wound cavity, transfers more energy to the threat, and helps to prevent the chance of overpenetration. You don't want your bullet to pass clean through the threat and potentially strike an innocent bystander.
If you'd like to order self-defense 9mm ammo, then I would recommend the Sierra Outdoor Master ammo we have in stock: luckygunner.com/9mm-115-grain-jhp-sierra-outdoor-master-20-rounds
Sierra is a trusted American manufacturer known for their high-quality bullets, and this is exactly the sort of ammo you'd want if you had to defend yourself against a threat which intends to do you bodily harm.
This ammo is also highly effective for self-defense: luckygunner.com/9mm-90-grain-xtreme-defender-underwood-20-rounds
Underwood is another good American manufacturer. The bullet doesn't expand inside its target, but it doesn't have to in order to effectively neutralize a threat. Please read my description for a better explanation as to how the innovative Xtreme Defender bullet works. And please let me know if you've got any other questions!
