You may not have heard of them, but Vista Outdoor encompasses a great many brands of fine ammunition. CCI, Speer, Blazer, Federal Premium, and others all share this parentage. (Vista also owns Bell, who have helped cyclists keep their brains unscrambled since 1923.) When you order Independence brand ammunition, which is also owned by Vista, you’re getting the same kind of fine components and attention to detail that have earned their better known brands so much recognition in the shooting world.

Here we have your bread and butter 9mm range ammunition, 1,000 cartridges each outfitted with the elemental 115 grain full metal jacket bullet. Its light weight enables the bullet to issue out of a muzzle at supersonic velocity, accompanied by a loud bang and a flat, easily directed trajectory. Its gilding metal jacket enables an FMJ to feed with the utmost ease in a semi-automatic, and additionally prevent lead fouling in that firearm’s bore. (New shooters take note: The FMJ is not an ideal choice for personal protection, as the wound channel it creates is narrower than that of a jacketed hollow point (JHP).

These 1,000 rounds come packaged all together. There’s no need to pry apart packaging after every time you’ve fired 50 rounds, creating one less step between you and a loaded magazine. This of course saves the manufacturer packaging costs, and the cartridges come out of their communal packaging no worse for wear.
