Winchester has a long history of supplying ammunition to the U.S. Armed Forces. They were the only private firm tasked with manufacturing 30-06 for the M1 Garand throughout WWII. They currently manage the federal government’s largest ammo factory as well.

But let’s make one thing certain: Winchester’s Service Grade 9mm ammunition was not produced for the Army, and it is not military surplus. It’s shiny-new-fresh, and it’s an excellent way to get your target shoot on.

Actually, let's make one more thing certain: This target ammo is more powerful than usual. Its 115 grain projectile erupts from a 4” test barrel at a velocity of 1,320 fps, which is approximately 11% faster than usual. Although Winchester doesn’t designate this ammo as +P, you would do well to only fire it in pistols that are rated to safely handle overpressure ammunition.

Winchester always gives you the good stuff. In this case, that includes entirely steel-free FMJ FN projectiles to ensure compliance at all commercial ranges, noncorrosive Boxer primers that cannot and will not rust up your firearm, and unblemished brass cases which are worth their weight in gold (or more accurately brass) as handloading components.
