A: Hi Thomas,
A lot of the 1893 Mausers were converted in the 1930s. Those that were not converted shoot the 8mm Mauser round. The only way to know if your particular 1893 Turkish Mauser has been modified is to have a gunsmith verify the caliber. I hope this helps. If you have any additional questions, give us a call at (800) 317-9506 , we would love to help. Thank you!

A: Hi Shawn. Thanks for looking to LuckyGunner.com for your ammo. This particular round is loaded with the ..323 diameter bullet of the 8mm JS round. If you older rifle has NOT been converted, it will need the Standard 8mm and not the JS version. If you have any doubts, consult your local gunsmith who will be able to determine the bore diameter. Let me know if I can help in any way. Ross
