These 30-round Romanian military surplus magazines are a dependable complement to your AK-47 pattern rifle. Instantly familiar to most observers, they are made of sturdy metal components with a ribbed design that aids magazine changes. The prominent "banana" curvature of the magazine is dictated by the tapered shape of the 7.62x39mm cartridge.

While these magazines have seen some shelf wear while in storage, their overall condition is good as they have not been "used and abused" by soldiers in the field.

Romania used the 7.62x39mm round as its standard assault rifle cartridge significantly longer than the USSR, switching to the 5.45x39mm in about 1986. Although the older round is still used by reserve forces in that country, this transition resulted in a large number of unneeded magazines that are now providing American shooters with a cheap source of reliable gear!
