This ammunition is considered a mild steel core. Unfortunately it will not pass any type of magnet test or range that prohibits bullets containing steel.

No, these 148gr. FMJ rounds are in 7.62x54R which is a different caliber than .308 Winchester. The two calibers are not interchangeable. You will need .308 rounds if your firearm is chambered in .308.
