This 7.62x51 ammunition hails from Israel. IMI is the little country’s equivalent of America’s own Lake City Army Ammunition Plant, and these rounds are military-grade and great for target shooting.

Use this ammo in 308 Win rifles if you like – its 150 grain FMJ bullet is going to treat them just fine. It’s a simple copper jacketed bullet with a solid lead core, and it does not contain any steel that could set off a magnet. We have not yet confirmed this ammo’s muzzle velocity.

Military-grade ammo typically has visibly annealed cases. This ammo is no exception. The gray you see around the case’s neck and shoulder isn’t a sign that it’s been reloaded. It’s just the side effect of the heat-treatment process that strengthened the brass, and it’s solely cosmetic.

This ammo is non-corrosive and will not require special cleaning measures to keep your rifle rust-free. With 500 rounds to a case, you can get a good feel for how this ammo handles and then set a good portion aside for a rainy day!
