M14 enthusiasts need to get their hands on this 400-round case of Magtech First Defense 7.62x51mm ammo. These M80 ball cartridges feature 147 grain copper full metal jacket (FMJ) lead core projectiles with an impressive muzzle velocity and energy of 2735 fps and 2442 ft/lbs, respectively.

The 7.62 NATO is a military-grade cartridge trusted by many of the world's fighting forces because of its power and accuracy. These 7.62 NATO rounds are loaded into new production brass casings. The Boxer-primed casings are non-corrosive and reloadable. The 7.62x51mm can be fired from guns chambered for 308 Winchester, but not vice versa. The 308 Win is loaded to higher pressures than the 7.62 NATO which can result in firearm malfunction in guns chambered for the latter.

Magtech is a branch of the Brazilian ammo manufacturer CBC. It was established as a commercial extension of the parent company in 1990.

A: Hi Edward. This is the M80, which should be considered magnetic as M80 ball ammo contains some steel in the bullet's jacket.

A: Hi Vladimir. Yes, this round, like all TRUE M80 ball ammo has a bi-metallic jacketed projectile and as such will attract a magnet.
