7.62x51mm NATO – the foundation of long-distance marksmanship. Don’t start talking about 6.5 CM, 6.5 PRC or 6.8 Western until you’ve mastered the intricacies of the 7.62x51!

If you’re doing all you can to improve your aim – or keep your already finely honed aim from slipping – then we’ve got just the stuff you need. This Israel-made 7.62x51 ammo by IMI Systems supplies every ounce of accuracy you need to hit your mark time and time again!

This is sniper ammo, which is why we don’t market it for self-defense: you’re unlikely to meet a clear and present threat to your life over ranges of several hundred yards. The open tip match bullet is also not intended for hunting, as it won’t unleash terminal expansion after piercing hide.

This round’s OTM features a thin and concentric copper jacket – no steel that would attract a magnet – and a form-fitted rearward-situated solid lead core that further enhances rotational stability. And at 175 grains, the OTM is the perfect weight for covering long distances without getting too badly upset by crosswinds.

IMI loads this ammo with new brass cases. They’re gray around their necks, this is true, but that coloration only indicates that the brass was correctly annealed without receiving a cosmetic polish afterward. Each reloadable round’s noncorrosive Boxer primer is sealed, so moisture and humidity will give you less to fret about.
