A: This distinction in ammunition can be important (especially in rifle calibers) when it comes to shooting your firearm indoors. Some ranges will have restrictions on ammo that is "magnetic". This magnet test is done to check for the bimetal material on or inside the bullet. Some ranges will only check rifle calibers, other ranges will check both. Outdoor ranges do not usually perform this check. However, each range is different. Checking with a range officer or their web site will tell you what is permitted, and what is prohibited.
While this magnetic/steel feature is safe for use in your rifle, the increased friction of the material may pose a threat to elements inside an indoor range. The harder material may wear out range equipment sooner. Rubber material absorbing bullets may be vulnerable to sparks caused by the bullet coming into contact with other surfaces.
Similar to a house chimney, indoor ranges can have buildup of dirt or unburnt powder that may also be vulnerable to sparks. Most modern and well maintained ranges will not have this issue.

A: Yes. Magtech ammunition loads their rounds with a boxer primed brass cartridge suitable for the reloading process. Additionally, all components used are non corrosive.

A: This 7.62x51mm ammo will work well for your Sig rifle. This will not cause any premature damage or wear outside of normal operating conditions. The rounds are factory new and not reloads.
