A: Hi Joe! No sir, 7.62x39 cannot be fired in a 308 rifle. (This is AK-47/SKS ammo) I believe you're thinking of 7.62x51, which is in fact compatible with 308 Win rifles.

A: Oh yes, this ammo is in no way specialized for the SKS or AK-47. It should function correctly in any firearm chambered for 7.62x39.

A: Thanks for reaching out David! You're right – GECO doesn't appear to have added this ammo to their official website yet, but that likely means they have only just begun manufacturing 7.62x39 ammo. We've only just begun offering it, so I rather suspect this is the case. GECO's target grade ammunition has traditionally offered consistent quality, so while this ammo may not have been on the market for very long I expect it ought to serve your AK or SKS quite well.!
