Many national governments have their uses for 7.62x39 ammunition. The United States government just so happens to be one of them, which is why Lake City Army Ammunition Plant is occasionally tasked with cranking out a whole bunch of the stuff. This is that 7.62x39 ammunition: made by Lake City, and boxed up by Winchester (which, not coincidentally, also operates and manages Lake City on the government’s behalf).

This American-made 7.62x39 cartridge doesn’t contain steel. There is none inside its 123 grain full metal jacket bullet, which is made of lead and gilding metal. There is none inside its case, which is virgin brass and reloadable. You also won’t find any corrosive chemicals inside this round’s Boxer primer. This ammo is new production, not dusty old military surplus, and Lake City hasn’t processed a corrosive primer in decades. Rev up your AK. It’s next batch of 7.62x39 is just a few clicks away!
