Right off the bat, this round’s 123 grain FMJ projectile is special because it is nonmagnetic. You’re looking at a lead core with a solid brass jacket, without steel that would have attracted a magnet. The bullet may fragment inside of soft tissue, although it is not designed to expand like a hollow point or polymer tip.
Belom also loads ammo more like American manufacturers in that they exclusively use brass cases and non-corrosive Boxer primers. Unlike steel-cased 7.62x39, this ammo is perfect for subsequent handloading.
Belom loads AK-47 ammo to survive on a battlefield. Their propellant is formulated to deliver dependable ignition and ballistic performance under temperatures ranging from -65.2 to 125.6 degrees, and their cartridges will still function correctly if submerged in water for an extended period of time. Even this ammo’s plastic box is waterproof, making it awesome for rugged conditions or long-term storage!
