Hornady's Creedmoor calibers have been making waves in long-range shooting circles since their inception and these 6mm Creedmoor cartridges from the Precision Hunter line represent the absolute cream of the crop for taking down big game. This particular load utilizes an expanding version of Hornady's groundbreaking ELD projectile called the ELD-X (Extremely Low Drag - eXpanding) which features an AMP copper jacket of uniform concentricity, a lead core of consistent density, and the proprietary Heat Shield Tip which resists melting at high velocities. The sum of these features is an extremely precise factory round that experiences very little deviation in flight.

Unlike ELD-Match projectiles, ELD-X bullets are designed to expand in targets shortly after entry; this helps to create a large wound cavity for faster bleeding while throwing massive kinetic energy into the vital organs rather than passing through. As a result, a deer will drop more quickly with minimal suffering or blood trail tracking required. Each 103-grain projectile is crimped into a reloadable brass casing which is affixed with a clean-sparking Boxer primer. Hornady, an American company founded in 1949, is well-known for their innovative projectile designs. Their finished products like Precision Hunter all shooters to get awesome performance without the trouble of handloading.
