The V-MAX’s pointed polymer tip sits over a precisely formed cavity within its swaged lead core. Upon impact it suddenly jams inward to cause the bullet’s core and concentric jacket to expand explosively outward, creating the sort of terminal performance which little critters do not bounce back from.
