The 6.5x50mmSR Arisaka was the predecessor to the 7.7x58mm Arisaka – a less powerful cartridge, albeit one the Japanese Empire’s enemies still rightly feared. But much larger weapons ultimately prevailed during WWII, which is why the 6.5 JAP is now exclusively used for recreational purposes.

If you’ve got a Type 30 rifle and every intention of using it to hunt medium game, then you’re in luck. Bannerman Cartridge Company has you covered! This new production ammo is loaded with 156 grain soft point round nose projectiles by none other than Prvi Partizan of Serbia. The SPRN’s frontal profile maximizes its striking energy, and its exposed lead core sees to rapid mushrooming even at lower impact velocities. Quite effective in the hands of a competent marksman such as yourself!

Prvi Partizan also created this nonmagnetic ammo’s reloadable brass cases for Bannerman. The shells are precision-drawn, correctly heat-treated, and outfitted with noncorrosive Boxer primers. This round’s 2,100 fps muzzle velocity was recorded with a 30” test barrel, so you ought to expect a lower MV out of a Type 30 carbine’s 19” barrel.
