Pardon our French, but we say the heck with gold medals! They’re ultimately useless, and winning one takes too much effort. Copper bullets, on the other hand … now those we like. They are extremely useful for hunting and defense, and they couldn’t be easier to get. Just order as many 20-round boxes of Underwood 6.5 Grendel as you please.
Calling the Barnes TSX a “copper bullet” is like referring to your own dog as an “animal.” It overlooks too many important details. The TSX is a lead-free precision machine, with a sleek profile, jacket-free design, and precision heel radius for extreme accuracy. The TSX is a hollow point, and that hollow point doesn’t deliver a conventional mushroom. Hydraulic pressure forces extension of four separate petals: long, sharp protrusions shaped like inward-pointed eagle beaks. They’re impactful, and they push extra deep into soft medium courtesy of the tough monolithic bullet’s low-fragmentation terminal performance.
It’s not a proper Underwood load unless it has a tarnish-resistant nickel-plated brass case, as well as a charge of low-flash powder that preserves the shooter’s night vision. And remember: please, please, please do not order this very nice ammo if you only own a 6.5 Creedmoor rifle.
