This 6.5 Creedmoor cartridge is perfect if you’re trying to see how accurately you can shoot. It’s perfect for showing the kind of people who award prizes how accurately you can shoot as well. That’s because it’s made by Hornady, whose name alone says everything to the serious target shooter, and it’s equipped with a 147 grain Extremely Low Drag Match projectile.

No part of the ELD Match omits some accuracy enhancing feature. Its Heat Shield tip is especially impressive, as it is made of special polymer that will not deform no matter how radically it is cooked by air friction. The ELD Match possesses a sleek, streamlined secant ogive profile, and its ability to avoid creating drag is only improved by its boat tail base. This bullet’s AMP jacket is super concentric, and doesn’t possess variations that could throw its trajectory off course.

With its 2,695 fps muzzle velocity out of a 24” barrel, this round’s bullet offers up a superb .697 G1 ballistic coefficient. By our math, this ELD Match needn’t rise by more than 18.67” to hit a target at 500 yards. Its velocity should not become subsonic until well past 1,500 yards, either! Combine that kind of ballistic performance with Hornady’s own high quality brass, primer, and propellant, and you’ve got the round that will make you a champion at your next shooting match.

These 80 rounds come packaged in a polymer field box. You can use it to store any kind of ammo you like in the future. (Our wife has emancipated more than a couple of our field boxes to keep her sewing supplies in, too. We’re not complaining – we challenge you to find a hole in our pants.)
