This 6.5 Creedmoor cartridge is made by Black Hills Ammunition, which is owned by retired law enforcement officer Jeff Hoffman. Fewer people depend more on their ammunition’s quality day in and out than cops do, so Mr. Hoffman spent a great part of his 37 year career inspecting his rounds like his life depended on them (it did). Mr. Hoffman’s operation applies his same minutia to every load that they make, and uses only the finest components and loading techniques available to the industry. This round will work.

This round will also keep you safe -- if you’re ever attacked by a deer, that is. The offending deer could be several hundred yards away, too, because this round features Hornady’s 143 grain ELD-X. The bullet keeps a laser-like trajectory thanks to its Heat Shield tip which doesn’t melt in response to aerodynamic heating, AMP jacket with virtually zero runout, and precisely angled boat tail. The ELD-X also features the InterLock ring, which grants it the ability to penetrate deeply by keeping its core and jacket knitted closely together. At low velocity impact, the ELD-X is able to retain up to 90 percent of its weight while still expanding massively -- even up close it loses no more than half of its overall weight!
