Atomic Ammunition is owned by Americans, staffed by Americans, and exclusively loads ammo with components that are made in America. The Arizonan manufacturer will have celebrated their 10th anniversary in business in 2021, and we believe at this rate they’re poised to keep chugging along for a long very time!

This round’s 142 grain bullet is Sierra’s very own MatchKing, which has won more competitions than all other target shooting bullets combined. The MatchKing owes that impressive feat to its wafer-thin gilding metal jacket, which has zero (or at least imperceptible) variation in its concentricity. The MatchKing’s needlelike meplat and boat tail contribute to its low drag profile, and its evenly distributed lead core keeps it rotating on a tight axis in flight. The MatchKing’s hollow point does not exist to promote terminal expansion – you’ll have better results using this round for precision range shooting than you would hunting.

Atomic serves Sierra’s preeminent target bullet right by loading it with a new production brass case. The carefully seated bullet is launched by a non-corrosive Boxer primer and charge of low residue propellant, so you can keep driving tacks without obsessively cleaning your barrel.
