Are you a purist who believes the 6.5 Creedmoor should only be used for match shooting like it was designed for? Or have you embraced it as a deer hunting cartridge as well? Well, whatever your official position might be, we know you’re going to love HSM’s Trophy Gold label 6.5 CM ammo loaded with Berger’s 140 grain VLD Hunting bullet!

“VLD” stands for “very low drag,” and that’s no empty claim. The VLD has a secant ogive profile, which essentially means its geometry is optimized to reduce in-flight drag. That helps the VLD to preserve more of its velocity as it whistles farther and farther downrange. Berger makes a VLD even more LD with a boat tail base, and its J4 Precision Bullet Jacket is so concentric that you’d probably need a microscope to detect any flaws in it. That alongside the VLD’s consistent core gives it great balance on top of its high ballistic coefficient.

We don’t have to tell you what “Hunting” stands for. The hollow point bullet’s jacket is thin in the right places to trigger deadly expansion after about 2 to 3” of penetration. Even at low velocities the VLD Hunting will paralyze its target with overwhelming hydrostatic shock and a chasming wound channel.

Hunters who insist on keeping their money here in America are happy to find out that HSM is a family-owned business headquartered in Montana. They choose high quality components to complement preeminent manufacturers’ bullets, and their loading technicians are top of their class.
