A: Thanks for reaching out Greg! I generally don't recommend non-expanding bullets like the OTM for deer hunting. That said, the Coues is SUCH a small animal that any 6.5 CM bullet could put one down instantly – with proper shot placement, of course. I'd just like you to make certain that an OTM, despite looking like a conventional hollow point, isn't actually designed for terminal expansion. Apologies if you already knew this, but many newer shooters mistake the OTM for some type of JHP. If you're not sold on this ammo, then please check in again shortly – we have some specialized, American-made deer hunting 6.5 CM coming to our site real soon.

A: Thanks for reaching out David! This round's brass case is American made, but I just emailed Red Mountain Arsenal for the definitive answer to your primer question. I'll update this as soon as I hear back from my guy.
UPDATE: It has a small primer.
