Deer hunting with the 6.5 Creedmoor has never been easier. This round represents the best work of two great American ammo authorities: Berger, who makes the VLD Hunting bullet, and HSM who loads it.

This 6.5 CM round ends in a 130 grain hollow point boat tail. Like most HPBT bullets it’s engineered for match accuracy, but it goes even further by delivering the terminal performance you want for hunting a variety of medium-sized game.

Berger prides themself on their unusually concentric J4 Precision jacket. Without runoff or variation in its wall thickness, the J4 Precision jacket gives its bullet gyroscopic rotational stability. It is also uniquely designed to penetrate game to a depth of 2” to 3” before mushrooming outward to deliver crippling hydrostatic shock accompanied by a massive wound cavity.

The VLD Hunting bullet slips through the air like greased lightning. Its streamlined secant ogive geometry and narrowing boat tail work in unison to minimize in-flight drag. This keeps the VLD Hunting’s trajectory flat, fast, and protected against wind deflection. Perfect if you’re hunting in the mountains or the windswept plains!

HSM was founded in the great state of Montana in 1968. It was only a one man show at first, just Bill Campbell loading ammo for himself and his friends, but he stoked that little fire until his masterful loading techniques became renowned nationwide.
