This 6.5 Creedmoor cartridge’s 129 grain projectile is a high-quality soft point. Its jacket is plated with a thin, concentric layer of shiny nickel. Why? Because it’s eye-catching! The jacket is made of tough gilding metal that wards off fragmentation during high-velocity impact – one more reason why the bullet penetrates so deeply. And thanks to its notched rim, the jacket promotes rapid and extremely deadly terminal expansion across a wide range of impact velocities.
You could find 6.5 CM bullets with more ballistically efficient frontal profiles, but Browning’s soft point still delivers perfectly serviceable accuracy for hunting applications. At 0.324, its G1 BC is sufficient to deliver -8.7” drop at 300 yards after clearing a 200-yard zero. Brass-cased and reloadable, and American-made to boot!
